Sveinn Njalsson is a huscarl from Skjaerdalen Steading, Svellheim. He was married to Ragnheiðr Refsdottir.
In 2090 IR, he was the first huscarl to swear his oath to Geirr Stronghair, then merely the teenaged heir to become jarl of Skjaerdalen. Over the years, he served as defender, advisor, confidant, and friend to Geirr.
In 2098 IR, his wife Ragnheiðr died in battle against bandits who had been pestering travelers on the North Road. Sveinn never remarried, insisting to all that Ragnheiðr had become a valkyrie and he would join her in Valhalla someday. None doubted him.
