Mimir is the god of memory and knowledge in Nordmannic mythology. He was beheaded in a war long in the past, but his disembodied head became the repository for all knowledge.

He is often in the company of Woden, who relies upon his counsel. Otherwise, he is to be found at Mimir's Well, which is next to the World Tree.

He is also the one created runes and is seen both as the founder of writing and magic related to writing and learning.
